• The bookkeeper is sick or on vacation
• The computer is down

• Accounts Payable only takes calls on Tuesdays between 1 and 3.

Funniest and Strangest Excuses!

• These are actual excuses from debtors!
• I lost my glasses and couldn't read my mail
• My car is broke down and the nearest mailbox is 10 miles away!
• That person is deceased, and a week later at the same phone number, That person is not home right now!
• I didn't know I had to actually pay that bill
• I was robbed of my mail at the post office while trying to mail your check. When I got home I couldn't find my check book. As soon as I find my check book I will send your check.
